Spring in the Lake Sunapee region has a lot going for it. The hills are green, the air is fresh, and New Hampshire is doing what it does best: quietly being one of the most beautiful places in New England. Inn at Pleasant Lake sits right in the middle of all of it, and this time of year, it's a wonderful place to slow down and actually take it in.

A hand holding an Inn at Pleasant Lake branded mug next to a wooden board with a glazed cinnamon roll and fresh raspberries and blueberries, set against white bedding.
This is what a morning at the Inn looks like. Fresh coffee, a warm cinnamon roll, and all the time in the world to enjoy it.

Start the morning right

Breakfast at the inn is something worth waking up for. Fresh coffee, something warm from the kitchen, and no particular reason to rush. Retreat back to your room and enjoy it all in bed, or grab a seat by the window and watch the morning come in. Either way, there's nowhere you need to be.

The lake is right there, and in Spring it''s all yours

Pleasant Lake is steps from the inn, and spring might be its best season. The water is still, the shoreline is coming back to life, and the canoes are ready to go. Paddle out far enough and the inn disappears behind the tree line, and it's very easy to forget the rest of the world exists.

The new Spring menu at The Elms is here, and it looks like this. Fresh, seasonal, and worth the trip to New London.

New London downtown is five minutes away

When you're ready to venture out, the charming town of New London is just a short drive from the inn. Main Street has independent shops, good food, and the kind of walkable, unhurried energy that makes a Spring afternoon feel like exactly the right use of time. And when you're ready for dinner, you don't have to go far. Our sister restaurant The Elms is just down the road, and their new Spring menu is worth planning your evening around.

Cheers to this. The lake, the mountains, the wine, and nowhere else you need to be tonight.

Evenings by the fire

Spring evenings in New Hampshire cool down in the best way. When the light starts to go, pull up an Adirondack chair overlooking the lake, let us get the fire pit going, and enjoy a glass of wine.
